An Introduction to STD Heads
STD offers the sport's highest quality, hand crafted aftermarket performance head assemblies. It was in 1989 that STD expanded it's product line from engine cases to include high performance cylinder heads. Our first offering was STD High Performance Heads for Pan / Shovel Head applications, followed the next year by our very popular STD High Performance Heads for Big Twin Evo models. Then in 1991 we added our High Performance Heads for Shovel Heads. STD Heads are the top rated high performance heads on the market, offering a 20-50% power increase (depending on other modifications) compared to stock heads in any application. Our most recent application includes STD Performance Heads for Twin Cam.

All STD heads are precision cast at 48,000lb tensile strength aluminum with high flow engineered ports and combustion chambers. Available with a fully hand blended valve job for the ultimate street engine, or with full hand port and polishing throughout for maximum horsepower and torque on the track.

Heads can be ordered for single or dual plugs, in vented and non-vented styles, all of which run up to .600 lift cams without modifications.* STD heads are also available fully assembled with only the highest quality parts. Including 175 lb. spring kits, titanium collars, cast iron guides, and Viton rubber or Teflon seals with stock or oversize valves** in stainless steel or with black nitride finish.For the highest quality and best performance in hand crafted heads for Big Twin or Sportsters, look no further than STD.
