Horsepower rated from 100-plus hp for our basic 97 ci STD Big Twin, up to to 180 hp for our 143 ci. Big Bore Engines! All engines are bench tested and tuned prior to delivery to assure the ultimate in quality and performance

We offer a full range of ready-to-run, pre-tested and pre-tuned STD Complete Engines. STD Engines in both 97 Cubic Inch or Long Rod 100 Cubic Inch configurations are rated from 100-plus HP.Also available are our STD Monster 153 Cubic Inch 180 hp power plants!. Each engine is carefully machined and assembled to exacting tolerances by our staff of experienced builders. Engine Assemblies come complete with all the finest performance components including full electrics,a Mikuni HSR45 or HSR48 Carburetor with a Mikuni Filter Assembly. Each STD Development Performance Big Twin has been designed to produce the highest, most reliable power and torque available. Specifications include a 2.94:1 First Gear Close Ratio Gearset housed in an STD case cast from aerospace quality 356 T6 “A” Prime alloy tensile strength rated at 45,880 psi, the highest rating of any aftermarket cases. All STD Transmission Assemblies are load tested at final inspection to assure proper operation. Included is a heavy duty 32-tooth pulley. Applications include Harley Softails 1990 to Present, FXRs ’89-’93, FLT '91-2000 with special applications on request. Available in Natural Cast, Black Wrinkle, or Polished finish Cases with Chrome Covers.

Our High Performance Primary Drive System is bolt-on ready to complete your engine/transmission assembly. Includes STD Heavy Duty Inner Primary Case, heavy duty belt or chain drive, race clutch assembly, heavy duty high torque starter and starter drive, plus all necessary mounting hardware.
